The Blueprint of Multi-Level Carbon Capture
The Blueprint of Multi-Level Carbon Capture
The Azonian Process is not only about carbon removal—it is about avoided emissions, offsets, and cascading climate benefits across the biosphere. Its architecture can be visualised as a multi-tiered system of climate action:
L01 Carbon captured by building material: Bamboo-based cultivation structures store carbon even before a single fern takes root. L02 Emissions avoided through organic waste utilisation: Diverting fruit, vegetable, and agricultural waste prevents methane and CO₂ emissions from landfills.
L10 Carbon captured through biomass growth: Rapid, cyclical Azolla cultivation captures atmospheric carbon continuously, while its symbiotic cyanobacteria fix nitrogen from the air.
L21 Emissions avoided by offsetting synthetic fertilisers: Azolla as biofertiliser reduces demand for urea and DAP, bypassing their carbon-intensive manufacture. L22 Emissions avoided in the post-application phase: Eliminating nitrogenous fertilisers reduces downstream emissions of methane and nitrous oxide—gases far more potent than CO₂.
L30 Increased carbon capture capacity of reclaimed landscapes: When used for land reclamation and soil amendment, Azolla biomass creates fertile, moisture-rich environments that unlock further cycles of vegetation growth and carbon capture.
